This site will perform two functions for the Kingston Masonic community:

  • We will maintain current information of use to Masons within the District, and to those who are thinking of visiting this District, and
  • We will try to deliver accurate information to non-masons who wish to know more about our fraternity.

To this end, we are implementing a number of web policies to better serve this community.

  1. We recognise that many who are interested in Freemasonry are not gifted with the latest technology, nor can they afford to upgrade. However, the minimum resolution required for proper viewing in 800 X 600.
  2. In the current web environment, email addresses are collected from web sites to provide destinations for spam email. To protect those who we list on this site, email addresses are not published. When you send email using our contact forms, our server will forward the email to the intended recipient after we have checked it for malicious content, proper formatting and various spam indicators. You agree to uphold this policy by not including email addresses in any post you make on this site.
  3. By the same token, we will not publish home addresses, phone numbers etc, unless we receive instructions to do so, in writing, from the individual concerned. If you publish any such information before you have confirmed permission to do so with us, we may, at our discretion, revoce the post, and block your account.
  4. Accounts are required on this site for those who wish to post content. All content is available to the public! Posts are moderated, and may be removed from the site after review.
  5. Accounts are based in email addresses. When you register as a user, an email will be sent to you with a link. When you click on the link, you have verified that you have received the email, and you will then be able to set your password, and to post content. You agree to maintain this email address while you have an account on this site, and to update this email should any change occur.
  6. The webmaster may, from time to time, send mass email to the list of authenticated users, notifying them of changes to the site. The account list is also used for the distribution of District Memorial Announcements. If a registered user wishes to opt out of the list of Memeorial Announcements, they may do so through their Account Profile page.
We take the issue of your privacy seriously!

Your personal information is used only for its intended purpose. eg, if you email us, the email address is only used to reply to you. Frontenac District will never use that information for any other purpose!

Frontenac District is compliant with the provisions of BILL C-6, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. , This is an Act to protect personal information that is collected, used or disclosed in certain circumstances, by providing for the use of electronic means to communicate or record information or transactions. By amending the Canada Evidence Act, the Statutory Instruments Act and the Statute Revision Act. Canada has joined the European community in legislating privacy issues to protect the public.
